Understanding and Function Computer hardware or hardware is a device on a computer that is physical (touchable). The computer device itself is divided into two, namely the term foreign hardware and software, namely Hardware (hardware) and Software (Software). The hardware itself works well because of the software as the system that runs it. So that the learning process about the computer is more directed as well as the grouping of hardware to be more easily in accordance with its function on the computer. This device is a device that deals with the processing function in the computer itself.
CPU / Processor: stands for central processing unit or also known as processor is the most important part of running a computer system. Can be described as a brain on a computer. · Memory / RAM (random access memory): Memory is a device that temporarily stores computer performance processes. Therefore, large RAM affects the speed of the computer. · Motherboard / Mainboard: Is a device that connects computer hardware between one and the other. Usually every mainbord already has a built-in VGA, but for high resolution clear quality VGA Card is very necessary. VGA example: 1. Nvidia 2. Ati Radeon Characteristics / characteristics: a. Many types of chipsets and speeds b. The bigger and faster memory (small nano second) will be better c. Purpose of use for graphics or games · Power Supply: serves to deliver electrical current as a controller of the amount of voltage that enters the computer. · Unit Casing: Is a place where all devices are put together. OUTPUT DEVICE The output device is a computer device that provides output / output, both in the form of visual, sound, and print views, and so on. As for what includes the device output are:
· Monitor / LCD Monitor: serves to display computer processes in visual / image form · Speaker: functions to remove sound from the computer · Printer: to print on paper media, and so on STORAGE DEVICE Is a computer hardware that serves as a storage medium for storing computer data.
· Hard drive: The main storage device on a computer, usually appears on a computer with Drive names: C, Drive D, and so on. Depends on the division of partitions.
· Floppy Disk: Usually known as floppy disks, is the first outside storage, very popular during the DOS system, lotus123, the old computer system. Now it's rare and starts to be replaced by CD / DVD and Flashdisk.
· CD / DVD: A disk-shaped external storage that can store data.
· Flashdisk: External storage devices that are currently the most widely used because they can store and delete data.
